KRS One is embarking on a multi-city tour of the United States, spreading the message of Peace. This lecture and performance series focuses on the importance of visualizing goals and manifesting success despite difficulties as well as non-violent conflict resolution strategies that can help us all to create a brighter future together.

Each tour stop involves elements including:
Presentation at a middle school or high school in an under-served area ; lecture at a local college, university or public space; meeting with a local mainstream radio programmer to urge the discontinuation of the broadcast of music that promotes violence and disrespect; outreach to celebrities and musicians to gain commitments of support for the Stop the Violence Movement; concert performance by KRS One and other Stop the Violence artists.

In response to increased violence and confusion on a global scale, Hip Hop activist/philosopher, KRS-ONE has revitalized ‘Stop The Violence’ movement as a fully-realized non-profit organization and community outreach tool that utilizes the Power of Hip Hop as a conveyance of Knowledge. He is calling upon Hip Hop and the world at large to take responsibility for the way in which conflict is resolved. ‘Stop The Violence’ is now a growing, multi-dimensional movement anchored by a fully realized non-profit organization that will continue to influence urban youth and utilize the power of Hip Hop to incite positive change in our society in years to come.
Stop the Violence is a collective of artists, activists, educators and entertainers exploring the roots of violence and working to promote the development of positive conflict resolution methods that can uplift our society instead of damaging it with the negative cyclical effects of violence. The organization and its projects allow artists to present an alternative to their public images, revealing a deeper and more concerned dimension that can serve as a powerful inspiration.
We facilitate ongoing public service announcements from today’s most respected celebrities along with various outreach programs such as an online youth forum, a mentor program, lectures, conferences and workshops focusing on conflict resolution issues as well as numerous vital educational projects that open the door for more positive life choices in under-served communities.
