About the Conference
The purpose of the Mothers and Daughters of
Excellence conference is to meet the spiritual,
emotional, physical, economic and social needs
of mothers and their adult daughters; to improve
their potential for more effective roles in their
families, churches, jobs, and communities. This
two day conference offers a variety of
opportunities to nurture, strengthen and create
a bond between mothers and daughters.
This two day conference will also bring together
women in need of help and hope and powerful
leaders who have an ample supply of both.
Phenomenal leaders and motivational speakers have accepted the challenge to coach, motivate
and inspire mothers and daughters to the next
level of success.
Most mothers in the United States are raising at
least one daughter. This is a reasonable assumption since statistics show that more females than males are
born each year. More females survive to adulthood than males and females tend to live longer than males.
The disintegration of mother and daughter
relationships has had a profound impact on our
society. It has resulted in a loss of direction,
morals, compassion and self-respect that has
manifested in addictions and violence. The number
of female violent offenders has dramatically
increased in the past century, juveniles account
for an estimated 28% of these offenses.
Additionally, according to data from the Bureau of
Justice Statistics, approximately 59.3% of State
and 47.6% of Federal female prisoners surveyed in
2004 indicated that they used drugs in the month
before their offense.

It is our mission to reverse the dangerous trends
that are sweeping our nation by educating,
empowering and healing the damaged relationships
between mothers and daughters.

The Mothers and Daughters of Excellence
Conference 2008 will offer quality speakers who
will educate and equip women to make positive
changes in their health, homes and community.
This action packed two day conference will also
feature a wide variety of workshops, interactive
sessions and vendor exhibits.
The mother/daughter relationship is timeless.
It spans more than the lifetimes of any mother
and a daughter as the continuity of the generations
passes on mother to daughter over generations. A taste
of immortality is offered to mothers and daughters,
who can, in precious moments, feel themselves back in time
as their mothers and grandmothers, touching the
ancestral chord of their "tribe." And, in holding their daughters, granddaughters or great granddaughters, they may also touch the future, the lineage of which
they are a part.
The hope of all our mother daughter relationship
work is that women can heal the wounds that block our access to this potential gift of being a daughter and being a woman, whole and complete.
