Finally, a place to post your Conscious Events for local, national and international Exposure.   All events serve to upliftment people of color and keep us mindful of our ancient greatness 

What We Do

This website is an off shoot and added service of the listserv http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SmaiTawi/.   Smai Tawi's listserv was created by Okera Ras I for promoting Cultural Events of the tri-state area.  Although email blasts are great promotion, many events get buried under recently blasted events.   This site hopes to give all events their own stage of exposure.   

Our speciality  has always been promoting the cultural events of people of color.   Our communities struggle to get expensive ad space in Black Newspapers, TV & Radio media---many times missing deadline, etc.   This site aims to give events of culture exposure without the added burden of expensive advertising.   It is currently a free service but will eventually have a very nominal cost of $2.00 per month until the event expires.

We currently provide postings  in 8 Categories:

Cultural events:  Lectures, Ceremonies, Cultural Education

                        Rites of Passages for adults 18+, Politics

Entertainment:  Comedy, Theatre, Screenings, etc

Hip Hop-Positive:  Open Mic, Concert, Courses, Lectures....

Spirituality:  Khamit, Moors, Islam, Yoruba, Akan, etc.

Children's Events: Rites of Passage, Trips, Camps,etc.

Holistic: Diet, Exercise, Meditation, Yoga, Tantra Workshops

Jobs:  job openings, trainings, workshops,etc.

Real Estate:  Rentals/Homes for sale lease, workshops.

If a category for you event is not listed, it will be created.   We need date, start & end time, address, admission fee, type of event, your website information, any youtube links, if in nyc, bus & subway instructions.  Any further information, do feel free to contact us at the phone numbers listed below.
